Owen Willems
Owen Willems is the Global Director of R&D and Innovation within Hendrix Genetics and is a member of both the Hendrix Genetics’ leadership committee and leadership team. Owen and his teams drive genetic improvement initiatives in areas of quantitative genetics, genomics, and digital phenotyping.
His education includes an Undergraduate Degree in Molecular Biology and Genetics as well as an M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Animal Breeding and Genetics; all from the University of Guelph (Ontario, Canada). Since 2011 Owen has worked in various capacities within the turkey, swine and layer businesses of Hendrix Genetics.
