Natália Leite is an Animal Scientist with a PhD in Animal Breeding and Genetics from the University of Georgia, USA. During her PhD, her research focused on selection methods to improve animal welfare, the use of crossbred genomic information to enhance the selection of purebred pigs, and theoretical developments of the single-step methodology.

She is currently Platform Lead Genetics & Genomics within the R&D department of Topigs Norsvin. In addition, she serves as the Topigs Norsvin representative in the Working Group.
