Natália Leite is an Animal Scientist with a Ph.D. in animal breeding and genetics from the University of Georgia, USA. During the Ph.D. her studies focused on selection methods for improved animal welfare, utilization of crossbred genomic information to leverage the selection of purebred pigs, and theoretical developments of the single-step methodology. Currently, Natália is the Platform lead Genetics & Genomics at the R&D department of Topigs Norsvin. She serves as a member of the WP1 and WP4 of the Breed4food consortium and is the Topigs Norsvin representative in the Working Group.
