Ernst van den Ende
Ernst van den Ende is Managing Director of the Animal Sciences Group at Wageningen University & Research. He has a background in plant sciences, with expertise in epidemiology, ecology, and plant pathology, and a broad interest in data science, novel phenotyping methods using sensors and cameras, and other emerging technologies to improve breeding programs and support farmers.
He is a member of the Wageningen Management Board and is closely involved in strategic development, the Dutch top sectors, international collaboration, StartLife (start-up companies), and shared research facilities. Within the Board of Breed4Food, he represents Wageningen University & Research – Animal Sciences Group.
