Christoper Orrett
Christopher Orrett has over 10 years of experience in agricultural genetic research, with the last five years focused exclusively on commercial dairy production. He graduated with honours in 2005 from the University of Liverpool in microbiology and later, in 2018, earned a PhD in quantitative genetics and breeding for disease resistance from the Roslin Institute.
His previous roles have focused on applied genetic services in the dairy sector across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Russia, and parts of Asia. He has been responsible for developing and implementing applied dairy breeding strategies covering research, development, scale-up, and consultancy. In this capacity, he has collaborated internationally with governments, businesses, and academic institutions on genetic services and product development.
