Christopher Orrett has over 10 years’ experience in agricultural genetic research, with the last five years exclusively in commercial dairy production. Graduating with honours in 2005 from the University of Liverpool in microbiology and later in 2018 from the Roslin Institute, with a PhD in quantitative genetics, and breeding for disease resistance.
Previous roles have focussed on applied genetic services in dairy across Europe, Middle-East, Africa, Russia and parts of Asia. He has been responsible for applied dairy breeding strategy covering research, development, scale-up and consultancy, collaborating Internationally with governments, businesses, and academic institutions, across genetic services and product development.
