Aniek Bouwman from Wageningen University & Research holds a PhD in Animal Breeding and Genomics. The central theme of her research is using genomic information to explain heritable variation in livestock. After her PhD she started as a researcher within Breed4Food in 2012 focussing on imputation and utilisation of whole genome sequence data. In Breed4Food II, she focussed on the detection and utilisation of structural variation. In addition, she was work package leader and exploring sensor data to automate locomotion phenotypes. Currently, she is the leader of work package 2 “DNA informed breeding”.
