Naomi Duijvesteijn
Naomi Duijvesteijn is Global Sustainability Director at Hendrix Genetics. She also leads R&D for Shrimp and previously served as R&D Director Traditional Poultry (SASSO), giving her hands‑on experience across breeding programs and species. Trained as a quantitative geneticist, Naomi has spent most of her career working on genetic improvement, data, and decision‑making in breeding. Today, she combines that background with sustainability, focusing on how genetics and R&D can contribute to more efficient, resilient, and responsible food production. Within Breed4Food, Naomi is co‑chair of the Global Sustainability package (work package 2), where she enjoys connecting science, breeding practice, and sustainability discussions with peers from across the sector.
